Optus – Building A Repositioning

  • Client Stockland and AIMS Financial Group
  • Value $30m
  • Location Macquarie Park, NSW
  • Sector Commercial Mixed Use

Representing Stockland and AIMS Financial Group, MostynCopper is providing project management, procurement and superintendent services for the repositioning of Building A within the Optus Centre campus at Macquarie Park. Following the departure of Optus from the building (contraction from Six to Five of the Campus Buildings), the project is focused on transforming the asset into a standalone premium commercial offering, targeting a PCA A-Grade office standard and enhancing its competitiveness within the Macquarie Park market.

The repositioning strategy includes the creation of a new external arrival experience through a dedicated forecourt, external stair and DDA-compliant lift, together with new End-of-Trip facilities, basement reconfiguration, upgraded lift lobbies and amenities, and associated public domain improvements. A subsequent stage of works is also being progressed to enhance operational functionality through loading dock upgrades, goods lift installation, services infrastructure and supporting back-of-house facilities.

MostynCopper has led the planning approval process, consultant coordination, procurement strategy and delivery planning, managing a multidisciplinary consultant team and development application process to facilitate the adaptive repositioning of a significant commercial asset while maintaining alignment with the client’s long-term leasing and asset management objectives.
