Matt Mostyn
Joint Managing Director

Matt is co-founder and Joint-Managing Director of MostynCopper. He has an extensive track record of managing successful projects across commercial office, sports and leisure, education, hotels, industrial, infrastructure, remediation and retail sectors.

Matt has established a very strong industry network to ensure clients are supported by the best consultants and contractors in accordance with project complexity. His strengths lie in his strong work ethic, communication skills, stakeholder management, problem solving, sector expertise and project directorship.

Matt holds a Masters in Project Management.

Tim Copper
Joint Managing Director

Tim is co-founder and Joint-Managing Director of MostynCopper. He has over 25 years industry experience, working previously with AMP Capital, Lendlease and Thiess, and expertise in planning and construction delivery. Tim leads projects that require a high degree of strategic planning and stakeholder management engagement, as well as MostynCopper’s Development Advisory services with the key focus to provide industry leading acumen to both Institutional and Private Clients.

Tim holds a Bachelor of Construction / Engineering and a Masters in Commerce (Development and Funds Management).

Sean Mostyn

Sean brings over 26 years of industry knowledge and experience to every project. His history of delivering high end projects across the commercial, retail, industrial, educational, hospitality industries has equipped him with highly specialised construction knowledge.

Sean applies his building acumen to specialist projects and leads MostynCopper’s Remediation Sector.

His understanding of working within significant site constraints and ability to table high-value construction methodologies ensures industry-leading delivery for every project.

Sean holds a Builders Contractor Licence and a Diploma in Project Management.

Nick Jessen
State Director

With 10 years construction and property expertise, Nick has delivered projects across multiple industry sectors with local and international experience in complex urban renewal, commercial, retail, hospitality, and residential developments. He is highly regarded for his considered approach, natural affinity for leadership and commitment to delivering high quality outcomes and achieving project efficiencies.

Nick holds a Bachelor of Applied Science, Construction Management and Advanced Diploma Building.

Sam Walker
Project Director
(Commercial, Industrial and Retail)

Sam brings a wealth of large scale, complex ‘live environment’ commercial, industrial and retail refurbishment experience to MostynCopper.

He has advanced skills in stakeholder management and extensive experience working with institutional clients on major refurbishment and repositioning projects. Sam is acutely aware of the inherent risks and complexities that arise working in a live environment including the requirement to maintain building operations whilst satisfying building occupants (tenants) and visitor safety protocols during project works.

Brian O’Mainin
Project Director
(Health and Aged Care)

Brian has 14 years’ experience working exclusively on Australian health projects, initially as a health architect and then in project management, bringing a wealth of private and public healthcare experience to MostynCopper.

Brian has advanced skills in stakeholder management, facility briefing and design and is adept at strategising complex issues to achieve successful and pragmatic outcomes for our healthcare clients.

Brian also has excellent experience working on hospital refurbishment projects.

Brian holds a Bachelor of Arts, Architecture.

Matt Nilan
Project Director
(Hospitality, Sports & Leisure)

Matt has worked in the construction industry for 25 years and has extensive experience in managing multiple projects across residential, commercial, and industrial sectors.  In recent years, Matt has led the hospitality, sports and leisure sector developing great expertise to produce industry leading outcomes for our clients in hotel refurbishment, sporting field construction and centres of excellence.

Matt has a Diploma in Building (Construction Management), holds an unrestricted Building Licence, and holds a Carpentry Trade Certificate.

Pat Shanahan
Project Director

With over 15 years’ experience as a qualified construction professional working in the project management sector, Pat has comprehensive experience managing multiple projects both in Australia and UK across a portfolio of commercial, industrial, residential, infrastructure and retail buildings.

Pat possesses strong communication skills and provides excellent client focus to ensure that the project program is well organised, sequenced and considered at all times.

Pat holds a Bachelor of Business in Property Economics and Master of Construction Management Degrees.

Tom Booth
Project Director

Tom has 15 years of management experience in the design and delivery of new school facilities and upgrades across the UK and NSW. His experience and understanding of buildability and innovative construction methods adds significant value to the design process.

Tom has delivered public and private education projects in live environments and his leadership in the design and delivery of an $18m new build education scheme was recognised at the CIOB Construction Manager of the Year Awards.

Tom holds a Bachelor of Construction Management (Honours).
