MostynCopper has partnered with Oakhill College on all stages of their overall College Campus Development Masterplan. The first stage completed is the Innovation Hub and Hilltop Landscaping precinct which was delivered in October 2023.

MostynCopper was Project Manager and Superintendent across all phases of the project life cycle to deliver an innovative STEM building, catering for new and future advances in technology and learning environments.  The project required a unique and innovative procurement strategy and through the engagement of a local timber specialist, the project team designed an efficient mass timber structure with elements to be procured from both Europe and Victoria.

This necessitated fire testing to AS1530.4 which was considered essential.

Importantly, the design process for the Innovation Hub started with on campus consultation, holding workshops with students and teachers alike to generate ideas for consideration of inclusion.

The project successfully navigated complex planning and heritage constraints and despite the global pandemic and its resulting impact on the supply chain, the project was successfully completed within an agreed timeframe and on budget.  MostynCopper continues to partner with Oakhill College in the design and delivery of the subsequent stages of the College Campus Masterplan.
