Championship Course Redevelopment
MostynCopper was engaged by The Royal Sydney Golf Club to provide Project Management and Superintendent services for all aspects of the complete landscape rehabilitation and renovation of its Championship Golf Course, now known as the Bay Course. This major redevelopment was assessed through a rigorous Development Application process, with MostynCopper supporting the project’s approval via the Local Planning Panel and its subsequent resolution in the Land and Environment Court under Section 34 conciliation.
Additionally, a detailed Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Assessment report was developed with a subsequent Aboriginal Heritage Impact Permit acquired. The extensive landscape works have resulted in a net increase of 1,592 trees across the course and over 500,000 native plants scheduled to be planted by the end of 2026, 300,000 of which are already in the ground. These new plantings will restore the site’s natural vegetation and are expected to reduce annual water usage by approximately 20%.
